MACETS and IFCE (Macao) officially signed the “One Conference, Two Regions” Cooperation Agreement of Blue Ocean Forum

      On June 5, 2025, at the celebration of “UFI GED 2025” held at Galaxy Macau International Convention Center, Macao Association of Convention, Exhibition & Tourism Sectors (MACETS) and International Forum for Clean Energy (Macao) formally signed the “One Conference, Two Regions” Cooperation Agreement for the Blue Ocean Forum (BOCF), which announced that the 12th UFI GED 2025, BOCF, will be held in the mode of “One Conference, Two Regions” in Lisbon, Portugal and Macao, China respectively. It was announced that the 12th International Clean Energy Forum will be held in Lisbon, Portugal and Macao, China under the “One Conference, Two Regions” model.    


        During the event, the President of MACETS, Mr. Ho Hoi Ming, and the Deputy Secretary General of the International Clean Energy Forum, Ms. Jun Huang, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties. According to the agreement, the Portuguese conference will be held in Lisbon from July 21 to 23, 2025, focusing on the frontiers of blue science and technology and innovation of marine economy, while the Macau conference is planned to be held from October 22 to 25 of the same year, combining the resources of large-scale exhibitions and fairs such as the Macao International Trade and Investment Expo and the China-Portuguese Economic and Trade Expo, and deeply connecting with the Sino-Portuguese and global enterprises of marine economy, clean energy, and investment and financing institutions.         In the interview after the signing of the agreement, Mr. Ho said, “As a bridgehead for cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, Macao has always been committed to promoting the integration of the exhibition industry with the industry. The cooperation with IFCE will further emphasize Macao's regional influence in the fields of blue economy and clean energy. We hope to bring Lisbon's innovations to Macao and the value of Macao's platform to the world,” said Mr. David Wong, Deputy Secretary General of IFCE.

The “one conference, two regions” model will integrate the policy, scientific research and market advantages of the two regions to build an efficient channel for enterprises to go out to the sea, technology exchanges and investment and financing cooperation, thus injecting new momentum into the sustainable development of the global oceans.


        The signing of this cooperation agreement signifies that the 12th International Clean Energy Forum has officially entered the execution stage. With the finalization of the “one conference, two regions” model, the 12th IFCE Blue Ocean Forum in 2025 will set off a new round of international dialogues and technology exchanges, and bring substantive impetus to the international cooperation in the transformation of the global blue economy and clean energy.
